Last week we went on my favorite field trip of the year...Evans Orchard!! The kids always love going, even Anthony. I think it may be all the free time they get to spend with friends. A few of our old friends were there and we met some new friends too! We got to taste apple cider and a "hayride." We got to pick a pumpkin and they gave us apples. We also got to go into the petting zoo. The baby goat were adorable!!! And we saw two turtles getting to know each other ;)

After we got back to Georgetown we went to the college for a chemestry magic show. It was very interesting, the kids loved it!! They especially loved the fire and the blowing up of a pumpkin!!

Last weekend was a busy one for us!!! We had co-op on Friday afternoon. That evening all the boys went to audition for the Christmas play, Santa's Spectacles. Saturday the two little boys and I went to Jackson for the Alumni day at my old school. I had been telling them about this little burger shop my parents use to take us to when I was little. So we tried to stop there for lunch...unfortunately the one I use to go to downtown wasn't open on the weekends...crazy huh?!?! So we went to the other one outside of town. We sat at the counter on swivel stools and the boys LOVED it!!!! We got some extra to take to my brother. We stopped to see him for a while then we went to see my nephews. They ended up going to dinner with us at Variety Pizza, another of the places I use to go to. They declared it the best pizza they had ever had! We then went to the alumni ball game at Riverside. We had stopped by there earlier and the boys played on the playground. When we went back across the bridge before we got there Jacob started singing...I love Riverside :) I got to see a couple old friends, and my uncle Wade was there. Amie and Vickie had driven down from Michigan and Indiana. It was so nice to see them.

We spent the night at Pauls Motel, and I was very happy it was so clean!!! We woke up and had leftover pizza for breakfast. Made a Wal-mart run to see if they had a shirt that I am looking for...they didn't :( We stopped by Wendy's to see if my cousin Anna was there. We had lunch there and a nice visit with her :) Tried to see my Aunt Norm but she wasn't home, so we headed toward Georgetown.

The drive was beautiful with the leaves changing. We stopped for a potty break at Slade and decided to try and find the Geocache that we have been looking for for years. Don't know why we didn't find it before but this time Jacob found it pretty quickly! We had a great time and Jacob kept saying he wanted to live in Jackson.

We went to Salato with a few friends for a presentation about Bats and Owls. It was very cool. They had three different types of live owls!!! They are very beautiful creatures. Did you know that an owl can turn its head 270 degrees?!?! We went to see the rest of the animals after the presentation. It was such a beautiful day!! I love traveling and seeing new places but Kentucky is an awesome place to live!

A new hobby......

Jacob was reading a book called 39 Clues, the kid in the book liked to do grave stone rubbings. Well Jacob was going around the shop doing rubbing so I asked him if he wanted to go to the cemetary.....he said YES!!! So I took him to do some rubbings. The second time we went Michael decided he wanted to do some too. Actually have been wanting to do this for quite a while. We have discovered that the really old stones don't turn out vere well. So far we have just used charcoal, we are going to try crayon next time we go.

Busy weekend!!!!

We had a very busy weekend. Friday we had our start of KEEN co-op. We had a potluck at the park and the kids Tye Dyed t-shirts to wear on field trips. Anthony has been working as a tech for the play Honk! It started Friday night and ran through Sunday. They had two performances on Saturday and Anthony was gone from 11:30 am till 10 pm. On Saturday the spot light he was running shorted out and caught on fire. He thought it was great fun!

Michael and Jacob walked in the parade on Friday night with the Books and Best Friends program. It use to be called Sit Stay Read but someone had copyrighted that name so they had to change it.

The boys love reading to the dogs, so on Saturday we went to the library so they could. There was someone there from the newspaper interviewing Suzanne (Jesse's mom) and then they interviewed Jacob and then me. David was on a motorcycle ride and Anthony was at the play so I took the other two downtown to the festival for fair food.

On Sunday we all went to watch Honk and got to see Anthony shining the spotlight. I think he may have found something he really enjoys doing. He is also very interested in learning to do sound. He may be able to turn this into a career. I would love for all the boys to be able to work at something they love.
