Eggs in a basket.......

Michael and Anthony are taking a cooking class at our co-op. They are really enjoying it. All three have shown great interest in learning to cook. On Jacob's very first homeschooling day I taught him how to make spaghetti noodles.

So a few nights ago I taught each of them to make an egg in a basket.

Lost a pet.....

Last February a nice man at the reptile show gave Jacob 3 dart frog eggs to use for a school project. Only one hatched but he kept growing and became a beautiful yellow striped dart frog. Jacob named him Nigel after Nigel Marvin.

Fast forward to this morning.....I woke up and found him dead. He hadn't been eating very well the last few weeks. Not sure what caused it. Jacob was quite upset. We buried him in the landscaping close to where we buried Michael's Ball Python several years ago.

Inauguration

The boys and I watched the inauguration. They were very excited!!! They have really been interested in the whole presidental process. We were watching something on TV and Jacob saw Obama, he started jumping up and down saying Obama, Obama. He has been rated right up there with Jeff Corwin and Nigel Marvin for Jake :)
I had the boys each write a letter to the new president after we watched the Inaugruation. I am going to try to get them to upload...we will see if it works.

Ice and snow

We had an ice storm Tuesday night! Luckily we we were not one of the thousands without electric. The public school didn't have school all week. But the mean mom that I am....we had school every day. They did get out to play though and we made hot cocoa.
