We are in Maine!!!!!!!

We arrived in Maine today!!! The first thing I notice is that it looks quite a bit like Kentucky. This wasn't the coast though....this was more inland. We stopped in Bangor to see the huge statue of Paul Bunyon and Stephen Kings house. We also stopped to see a 1700 pound chocolate moose at Lenn Libby Candy shopp in Scarborough.

We drove over the bridge onto Mount Desert Island and it was breath taking. It was getting late by this time and it is really hot here right now. I had packed warm clothes for our days here so we decided to do laundry so we will have lighter clothes for our days here.

After laundry we tried to find dinner. The little town is very touristy. Had a hard time finding a place to park and ended up pretty far from where we wanted to eat. So we ended up at a little place on the water. It cooled off and was breezy and the view would have been awesome if it hadn't been dark :( Oh well tomorrow is another day.

We are hoping the hurricane stays away until we leave on Saturday morning but it may get here a few hours before we leave.

Jacob has been looking forward to trying the blueberry soda but he didn't really care for it.

Stephen Kings house in Bangor. Has bats on the gate posts and the gate is a spider web.

I haven't downloaded the pictures from my camera, so the chocolate moose will need to wait until tomorrow.
