Lots of snow.
Giant Sequoias today!!! I knew they were going to be big, but I had no idea just how big they were going to be!!! The road through the park was very twisty, possibly the most twisty so far. And there was construction work going on, if you didn't time it right there could be a two hour wait. Luckily we got there just in time for them to let us through. We climbed very far up the mountains, at one point we were 7280 ft above sea level.
We got to see the largest tree in the world, not the tallest or the biggest around but the biggest in terms of the amount of wood. They named it the General Sherman. The boys got junior ranger badges. Not sure how many they have now but its quite a few. The visitor center was still mostly under snow. The front was dug out so it could be used. The Ranger said they had 93 inches of snow on the ground right now!
We had lunch in the park, that is where we were at 7200 feet. As we ate fog started rolling in, it was insanely fast and thick! And it was very hard to see driving out of the park. We did stop on the way out and take pictures with the very cool park sign.
