Michael took a puppetry class!!!!

Georgetown Community Theatre paid for a few kids to take a puppetry class at the Lexington Childrens Theatre. They wanted the kids who were doing the puppetry in the Christmas play to go but a few of them couldn't go so they asked Michael if he would like to take the class. He seemed to enjoy himself. He made 2 puppets, one out of a macaroni box and one out of a paper plate. They but a lot of thought into the puppets they made, giving them names and personalities. They even wrote poems for one of the puppets.

The boys are working on another play.....

All three boys tried out for the Christmas play in October. Jacob and Michael got parts of children. Jacob is child 1 and child 5 and Michael is child 2. These rolls involve small speaking parts. Anthony told them he wanted to work backstage......he has found what he likes and this is it!! They are going to teach him to do the sound this time. He is very excited about it!

The play is called Santa's Spectacles. They have 7 performances. They have 2 performances each day on December 16th and 17th. These are for school groups. Then on the 17th at 7pm they will start the public runs. They have one on Friday and Saturday evening and one Sunday afternoon.

Anthony doesn't have much to do yet :)

Halloween fun!!!!!!

We had lots of spooky fun in October!!! Our co-op had a presentation about the Day of the Dead. Our sign language class went to the cemetery for a scavenger hunt. Anthony joined the Teen Advisory Board at the library and they hosted an Area 51 party. He had to dress up like an FBI agent. We carved pumpkins and planned costumes. Jacob was a warrior bunny and carved Scooby Doo on his pumpkin. Michael was a Motorcycle zombie dude and carved a werewolf in is pumpkin. Jacob carved most of his design himself....which was huge since in the past I have done the carving for the designs he picks. Michael picked a really hard design and I had to help him some but I think he learned now what not to pick and he did try really hard on what he could carve himself. Anthony had a pumpkin but didn't carve it, he is showing less and less interest in this kind of stuff.

We went to the Nipper Family annual Halloween party and trick or treating afterwards. After all it more fun to trick or treat with friends :) After we ate at the Nippers, David and Anthony went home to hand out candy.

After the candy hunting we went downtown to watch the "Thriller" parade. We really couldn't see that well and were kind of bummed about it but Michael and Jacob and their friend Reeves really want to be zombies in the parade next year :)

Thriller zombies waking up.
