Repeat of yesterday.....
We made plans with Rachel yesterday to have a picnic today at Great Crossings. Kathleen, Karina and Cam joined us. It was so nice again today. Jacob and Michael wanted to bring their fishing poles so we ran by Wal-Mart and picked up some meal worms. The boys played for a long time...over four hours!!!! The moms sat on a blanket and enjoyed the sunshine :) While sitting there we saw a mink on the other side of the creek. I even saw a couple tiny little grasshoppers. Do they know its the beginning of February?!?! Being outside is so good for the soul.

Louisville Zoo
We spent the day at the Louisville zoo. We have had wonderful weather but the cold is suppose to come back so I thought we would take advantage of the nice day. Plus we thought they were going to have a zoo tour today. But when we got there we were told that they stopped doing them the week before :( We were disappointed (me mainly) but decided to have a great day anyway. And boy did we! A few of the animals were not out but the ones that were, well they were frisky!!! We got to watch the penguins being feed. The swans swam over and played "bowing and honking" with the boys. The lions were VERY frisky!!!! The Bongos were chasing the cranes around their inclosure. Then one ran right up to where we were standing, like three feet from us. It was so cool!!!!

Unsoclalized Homeschoolers!!!
When I tell people that we homeschool the response I get most often is.."what about socialization?" Funny, that is the least thing I worry about in our homeschooling life. It is harder with Anthony because a lot of homeschoolers go back to public school when they get to high school. But we work at finding ways for him to be around friends.
I mention this because we had a homeschooling party at our house. There were 27 kids here ages 4 to 16. Don't think we have had that many people here before. I wasn't feeling great but the boys really stepped up and helped me get the house ready. I think a good time was had by all and there was SO much food.
So here are a few pictures of our unsocialized friends ;)
