Kentucky History at Fort Harrod

On Monday we went to Fort Harrod. It was the first white settlement in Kentucky. We also saw a play about a fictional family making there way to Fort Harrod from North Carolina. It was interactive and our kids volunteered for everything. There was a group of public school kids behind us and they didn't volunteer for anything. I don't understand, I don't remember a lack of volunteering when my guys were in PS. But I have noticed it a lot lately. There was a question session at the end of the play where you could ask the actors questions. I think all but one of the questions came from our group. Maybe it was just exciting for our guys because most of them are doing a play right now. Most of the kids in our group are very uninhibited.

There were some very cute baby goats that everyone had to feed...several times :) We saw a blacksmith, the school, a doll maker and a woodworker. We had a picnic under an awsome osage orange tree! Everyone climbed, even some of the mommas!
